PRISM TRKS is the University of Pittsburgh’s online Time Record Keeping System for full-time and part-time regular classified staff, Federal Work Study, Student Workers, Temporary and All Temps employees.

Determining Access

Access is granted to full-time and part-time regular classified staff, Federal Work Study, Student Workers, Temporary and All Temps employees.

Applying for Access

Access is automatically assigned to the eligible employee based on the effective date that an employee is hired, rehired or transferred into the job. This information entered by a central area such as Human Resources, must be in PRISM before access can be established. New supervisors are also automatically assigned the PRISM TRKS Supervisor responsibility after the employee’s supervisor information is entered in PRISM.

PRISM TRKS Responsibilities

An individual who is not employed by the University of Pittsburgh and not in the PRISM system may request access in order to perform the responsibility of a supervisor, alternate approver or assigned approver.  A PRISM Access User Form requesting the appropriate responsibility must be completed. An Instruction Form is also provided. Print the form and instructions. Review the instructions carefully and complete the form with the appropriate signatures.
